Is there anything as delicious with a more salivating name than a salmon cake? Yes, yes there is. But the keto diet is strong with you and the name of the game is finding new favorite dishes!
That’s where THIS 5 stars Keto Salmon Patties recipe comes in handy. Unlike other recipes, it’s got everything: salmon, flavor… and pork rinds!
So, grab your favorite pork rind flavor and settle in for this easy meal!
3/4 cup of your choice of pork rinds, crushed (place it in a plastic bag and crush using a rolling pin)
24 oz. canned pink salmon, drained
1 small yellow onion, finely chopped
1 egg, beaten
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. garlic powder (or onion powder)
3 tsp. chives, chopped
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 tbsp. butter
In a large bowl (perhaps your favorite mixing bowl to mix in), dump in the pink salmon, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, fresh chives, and crushed pork rinds until mixed in such a state that you feel like you’ve done the best mixing job that could have ever been asked of you.
Use your hands (or feet, if you feel like they’re best suited for this step) to form the salmon mixture into patties. If you're using canned salmon, to make the patties stick together, you can bread crumbs, panko, or finely crush some saltine crackers and mix them up with the eggs. But if you want to keep your salmon patties low carb and gluten-free, use almond flour instead.
Heat olive oil and butter together (medium heat is preferred) in a large pan or skillet that you use when you want the food to be delicious! When the skillet is hot, add salmon patties in a single layer.
You want your keto salmon recipe to be a real success, perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft inside? Fry the keto salmon cakes until golden brown and desirable. Flip patties and cook until the other side is brown too. If you prefer to air fry salmon patties, preheat your air fryer to 400F and air fry your low carb keto salmon cakes for 8-12 minutes until golden and crispy on the edges.
Remove the tasty low carb keto salmon burgers from skillet. Eat. Do dishes.
Wanna a dip or sauce like we've got? Get fancy and mix up some mayo and mustard! (cause we're fancy like that) Dill sauce is soooooo good with this recipe too!
Serving size: 1 medium salmon patty
To cook salmon patties that taste even better you can add an extra egg, lemon juice, olive oil, sour cream, fresh dill and parsley. This salmon patty recipe also goes well with French-style remoulade sauce with mayo, capers, and fresh herbs.
This is such a great recipe! Enjoy your delicious and healthy keto salmon patties with pork rinds!
If you've got leftover salmon cakes, you can store them in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. The best way to reheat salmon patties is in a hot pan drizzled with some oil or melted butter.
