Hey, diets can be hard. We know you’re not a cheater, but if you know a cheater… then maybe hang onto this recipe for their sake. You’ll need it – er, they’ll need it when their defenses are down and their keto lifestyle is at risk for being infiltrated. The lure of sugary, carb-y snacks is no match for a keto-friendly dessert like this one.

Donuts? Who would have thought the humble pork rind could be elevated to this high a status – and at breakfast no less! We’ll be selling boxes next to the Wheaties in no time.

And “donut” even get us started on how many boxes this recipe checks.

✅ Low carb
✅ Just the right amount of sweet
✅ A “hole” lotta fun

Ready to dive in? Well, read on. If you really wanna get crazy, use this simple recipe to make classic donut holes.

If donuts aren’t your thing, you’re insane, but ok… we’ve got another sweet treat up our sleeves for you.

  • 1/4 cup pork rinds (chicharrones), crushed
  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1/2 cup granular sweetener of choice (we like monk fruit)
  • eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • Keto-compliant sprinkles and icing, if desired

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F because … “Some like it hot and some sweat when the heat is on. Some feel the heat and decide that they can't go on.”
  2. In a large bowl, mix all dry ingredients thoroughly.
  3. Fold eggs, milk, baking soda, and vinegar to the dry ingredients. Combine until consistency becomes dough-like.
  4. Fill a plastic bag with the dough and cut off a corner to make a pastry bag. (We ain’t fancy. Just make your own, y’all!)
  5. Add dough to greased donut pan and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  6. Remove from pan and allow to cool completely before decorating.
